The Global
Education Centre, based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, offers a window on
the world, particularly for young people and teachers.
We hope that Global Education Centre will help to build awareness of the wonderful
world we share with people from many different countries and cultures. We want
to celebrate the variety and diversity that exists and learn not to be afraid
of difference. We also know that many of our sisters and brothers live lives
that deny them their dignity as human beings due to poverty or conflict or prejudice.
We want to learn about the causes of problems and explore ways of changing things
for the better.
That’s why the most important part of this website is you. We believe
in the right of every human being to have a say in what happens to them and
to every member of our global family. We want you to ask questions and suggest
answers and action for change.
